For optimum results, we recommend two initial sessions of Profhilo® Injectable Rejuvenation Treatment, spaced four weeks apart. The best results will be visible around four weeks after the second session.

You can then have top up treatments every nine months to maintain your rejuvenated skin results.

The Profhilo® treatment is a quick and easy procedure, taking around 30 minutes in total per session, depending on the areas being treated.

While cosmetic medicine is not without complications or unwanted side effects, we do take every precaution to minimise and limit any complications to offer a safe and comfortable service. Reported side effects include but are not limited to the following: pain, bruising, hematoma, redness, infection, Itching, discolouration, granulomas, hypersensitivity, skin nodules, abscess formation and cysts. Individual results can vary and are not guaranteed.
Profhilo® is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or people who are allergic to Hyaluronic Acid.

All makeup will need to be removed prior to treatment, so please come ‘fresh faced’ if possible. Alcohol, aspirin, Ibuprofen and a range of dietary supplements including; St. John’s Wort, fish oils, Gingko Biloba, Vitamins C and E- may all contribute to bruising and are best avoided 24 hours before treatment. Treatment cannot be administered if there is an active skin infection, including acne or cold sores or if you are unwell - including colds, coughs, sore throats, etc. Contact the clinic to discuss any illness or new medicines prior to attending.

Most people can continue with normal activities. Some may experience some redness or pinprick marks and bruising is possible.

The product is injected in small ‘deposits’, you may be able to see them initially, but they settle usually within hours. It may be possible to feel the product where it has been injected under the skin. It will settle, there is no need to massage.
If you experience any initial swelling after your appointment, please apply an ice pack to the area. We recommend not touching your face for at least six hours post treatment and drinking plenty of water.
Avoid lying down or strenuous exercise for at least three hours after your appointment.

Do not have a facial, nor rub or massage the treated areas for 24 hours after your treatment.

Please note that if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the injections could contribute to a further eruption of cold sores.

Do not expose the area to intense heat including saunas and solariums or extreme cold until the initial swelling has subsided.

In cases of bruising:
On average a bruise can last up to two weeks. To speed up recovery you can try the following:

1. Apply ice for 5 -10 minutes to the area, three times a day.
2. Eat fresh pineapple as it contains bromelain, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bruising complex.
3. Continue oral Arnica Montana to speed up injection site healing and for anti-inflammatory properties.
4. Auriderm topical agent can be purchased in clinic, containing vitamin k to help with bruising.
